Shock absorbers do not require specific maintenance like engine oil changes or the gearbox. As a general rule, every five years or 60,000 km it is advisable to replace the shock absorbers with new ones.

If you change one shock absorber, the other one on the same axle must also be changed.  Otherwise, the stability of the vehicle will decrease and safety behind the wheel will be significantly reduced, so don’t take any risks and change both shock absorbers at the same time.
